We have received a donation of seven bags full of clothes, shoes and 1 hand bag. The clothes were donated by Dominica’s neighbour, Mrs Maninjwa and Jane Pearce, PPR bookkeeper. The ‘thank you’ letters to both Mrs Maninjwa and Jane family have already been submitted to them. Since Wednesday, 3rd March the donation has been distributed to the needy people. Feb 2010 - VILLAGE CHURCH IN NAMBUR HYDRABAD INDIA
During 2009 Positive Ray partnered with the IDPL Slum Church in Hydrabad, India. With the donations received via friends and family we were able to donate R5000.00. Today, the slum church has a comfortable building in which to worship God. The response to our plea was overwhelming. In total we collected R11500.00. We are now donating the balance of R6500.00 to the Nambur Village Church for renovations. We thank God for the opportunity to partner with God’s people in India. Pray out of this partnership that many people will have the opportunity to hear the gospel.

June 2009:
It was a privilege to launch POSITIVE RAY REEF on the 24 June 2009. After many discussions and much prayer a dream has come true. I praise God for people who are burdened and have a passion for those infected and affected by Aids. Faith Evangelical Church in partnership with Mount Olive and Harvest Ministries has taken on the challenge to integrate HIV/Aids into the ministry of the church. This is a pilot program that will be carefully monitored and we will learn from its failures and successes.
Trip to Botswana
Clement visited Botswana with the intention of sharing with church leaders the work of Positive Ray and how to integrate HIV/Aids into the Total Program of the Church. I met with about 22 church leaders from several churches under the banner of Evangelical Fellowship of Believers (EFB).
They expressed great interest in replicating PR and the kind of model we were introducing to them. A second visit is being scheduled. We are networking with an organisation called Flying Mission a partner of SIM to help the church in Botswana.
Positive Ray partners with Churches in India
It was a privilege to visit India from the 2 to 13 July 2009. I was part of a delegation of 17 from the Evangelical Church of South Africa who went on Missions with Operation Mobilisation. My visit to India took me to 5 states namely: Hyderabad, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai. India is a fascinating country with many challenges. With a population of 1.1 billion people, all you see is people, people and more people against the background of heavy traffic that always on the move.
Driving in India is a story on its own. It was interesting to learn; even though India has a Christian population of 2% it makes the biggest contribution to the social up liftment of the country. In the midst of many challenges God is doing a great work in India. Operation Mobilisation, in addition to its many ministries has planted 2500 churches all over the country. It was my humble privilege to visit some of the churches. We praise God for what He is doing and always recognise that the Church belongs to Him. Our journey from South Africa took us to Mumbai and then on to Hyderabad. Regards, Clement
