With the purpose of mobilizing and motivating the Church to incorporate HIV/Aids into their overall ministry, PPR has partnered with 8 local churches to create an enabling environment for church leaders and members, so that the churches may cultivate the ideal for increased impact regarding HIV/Aids, in their communities.  

This concept is applied through adopting education and awareness programmes on HIV/Aids within Church activities on every level, such as Sunday-School, Youth Committees, Ladies Committees, Meetings and Sunday Services.  Through the education and awareness programmes, Church members are able to identify HIV/Aids related needs and provide help accordingly.  This approach is cost effective and sustainable for the Church as the pastors and church leaders discuss issues on HIV/Aids with their members and pray for those infected and affected by HIV/Aids, when doing their congregational home visits.

Added to this is the advantage of the church being empowered to provide HBC and Counseling by taking “ownership” of the programmes and leading the way in their communities, on a spiritual level, in the fight against HIV/Aids.
